A Multifaceted Intervention Designed for Chinese Migrant Families Involving Educational Philosophy, Parenting Style, and Parent-Child Relationships: A Pilot Study

摘要This pilot study aimed to preliminarily evaluate a comprehensive intervention program addressing the unique challenges of Chinese migrant family parenting and mental health, focusing on educational philosophy, parenting styles, and parent-child relationships. Utilizing emotional communication techniques and behavioral parent training, the program spanned 21 d of family activities and online coaching for six families. Findings indicate significant improvements in negative parenting styles and parent-child relationships, enhancement of migrant children's mental health, and overall family function enhancement. Innovatively, this online-based program provides convenient participation opportunities for migrant families, accommodating their busy schedules while addressing their unique parenting challenges.
